dc.description.abstract	Price information given in this publication relates to household consumption expenditure on food and other items, and is based on data compiled on a regular monthly basis and analyzed for a variety of statistical purposes. Special reference has been given to the data collected for compilation of the Colombo Consumer Price Index, National Consumer Price Index and Producer Price Index. In addition to this, levels and changes in prices at selected producing and consuming centers are shown for different districts of the Island.	en_US
