Abstract:
This is the 28th publication on retail prices of selected commodities in Colombo District. This is in addition to the “Annual Bulletin on selected Retail and Producer Prices” for all islands published by the Department of Census and Statistics. Price information given here relates to consumption expenditure on Cereals, Vegetables and other Food and Miscellaneous items and is based on data compiled on a regular weekly and monthly basis and analysed for a variety of statistical purposes. Special reference is given to the compilation of the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), based on year, 2013.
